Alarm Actions Page

Explore how to define automated responses that occur when alarm conditions start or end, including system and service actions.

Video Transcript

You can configure which actions to take when an alarm condition starts and when it ends. These apply to alarms, not sensors. Sensors use automations rather than alarm actions.

On the Alarm Actions page, select an action profile or create a new one.

In the “When Alarm Condition Starts” section, specify what should happen for the First, Second, and Subsequent failures. This can include rebooting the system, restarting a service, running a script, among other actions.

Similarly, in the “When Alarm Condition Ends” section, specify what should happen when the condition ends.

Action profiles are assigned to Alarms using a Role.
