Learn how to build and manage automations, actions, and collection extensions that automate remediation and collect custom data.

The Automations and Collection Extensions page is where you go to manage automations, collection extensions, actions and publisher keys.
The Automations tab allows you to create and manage automations. An automation is a package that includes approved executable scripts (referred to as actions). They can be triggered automatically when a sensor is activated, or manually within SysTrack tools, or in some cases by the end user.
Collection Extensions provide a way to collect data that is not part of the SysTrack dataset and add it to the agent database. Like automations, Collection Extensions use actions to run the process. They can be triggered automatically when a sensor is activated, or manually within SysTrack tools.
The Action Governance tab allows you to approve, enable and create actions. Actions must be approved before they can be added to automations or collection extensions. Click the Create Action button to launch the Action Builder.
Publisher public keys, can be managed on the Publisher Key Management tab. All actions built using the Action Builder will be signed using the tenant key that is created when your tenant is built. If you want to import signed actions from another SysTrack tenant you must have the public key for those actions in order to import and approve them.
The Automations, Collection Extensions, and Actions are sophisticated and powerful tools. Therefore, we highly recommend that you refer to the product documentation and the Automations and Actions course in Lakeside Academy.
