Supported Operating Systems and Platforms

This page covers the supported browsers, operating systems, and other platforms for SysTrack's various products and components. It also links you to the full installation procedures, where applicable.

Browser Compatibility

SysTrack Cloud and other products are designed to be compatible with the following browsers:

  • Chrome 42.0.2311 and newer

  • Firefox 48 and newer

  • Edge 48.14393 (Anniversary Update version) and newer

Cloud Agent: Windows Supported Operating Systems

The Agent for SysTrack Cloud supports the following operating systems.

  • Microsoft Windows 11

  • Microsoft Windows 10 (version 1507 or higher)

  • Microsoft Windows 10 IoT (version 19045 or higher)

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016

Master System: Supported Operating Systems and Requirements

A master system server on which you install SysTrack must meet the system requirements covered in the following sections.

SysTrack requires the latest supported Visual C++ downloads. See Microsoft’s latest supported Visual C++ downloads article for more information.

If your master system server does not already have them installed, the SysTrack installer will install all the required items listed here, with the exception of full versions of SQL Server. The SysTrack installer can optionally install SQL Server 2022 Express for certain environments. Installing the requirements yourself, before you begin the SysTrack installation, will greatly decrease the installation time.

IMPORTANT: You must install .NET Framework 4.8 prior to installing or upgrading SysTrack On-Premises.

Master System Environment Requirements

The environment must meet the following requirements:

  • 64-bit only

  • Must have a static IP or a DNS reservation

  • Cannot be a domain controller

  • Cannot have any IIS applications installed

Master System Supported Operating Systems

The master system can run these supported operating systems:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022

Master System .NET Framework Requirements

The master system can run these versions of the .NET framework:

  • The minimum requirement is Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (or higher).

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 is installed with Windows Server 2016.

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 is installed with Windows Server 2019.

Master System SQL Server Requirements

The master system can run these versions of SQL Server:

  • The minimum requirement is Microsoft SQL Server 2014.

  • SysTrack setup can optionally install SQL Server Express 2022.

  • The other supported versions of Microsoft SQL Server are 2016, 2017, and 2019.

Master and Web Services: Other Compatibilities

SysTrack Master Systems and Web Services are also compatible with the following:

  • Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 (x64)

  • Visual C++ 2017 (x86) Redistributable

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 (x64) Redistributable

  • Microsoft URL Rewrite module 2.0 for IIS 7 (x64)

SysTrack Administrative Tools: Supported Operating Systems

SysTrack Administrative Tools are compatible with the following operating systems:

  • Microsoft Windows 10

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 (x86) Redistributable

On-Premises: Supported Operating Systems

SysTrack On-Premises supports the following operating systems:

  • Microsoft Windows 11

  • Microsoft Windows 10 (version 1507 or higher)

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016

The SQL Server Express version included in the On-Premises installer is SQL Server Express 2022.

Microsoft Windows Server 2022 is now supported for SQL Express installations.

IMPORTANT: You must install .NET Framework 4.8 prior to installing or upgrading SysTrack On-Premises.

During the installation process, the system may reboot a few times, but it will return you back to the prerequisites installation step.

NOTE: For upgrades, the user account performing the upgrade must have db_owner permissions for both the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Database (ReportServer$SYSMGMT_DB) and the SQL Server Reporting Services Temporary Database (ReportServer$SYSMGMT_DBTempDB). If the user account lacks this permission, a notification will prompt the user to acquire it before proceeding. Only the individual user performing the upgrade will be granted db_owner permissions; group-based permissions are not automatically applied. The upgrade will not proceed until the necessary permissions are obtained or an account with db_owner access is used.

Cloud Data Relay: Supported Operating Systems

SysTrack Cloud Data Relay supports the following operating systems (all 64-bit):

  • Windows Server 2019

  • Windows Server 2016

  • Windows 10 version 1511 (or later)

  • Windows 11

An additional requirement is:

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x64) 14.24.28127 (VC_redist.x64.exe)

Cloud Proxy: Supported Operating Systems

SysTrack Cloud Proxy supports the following operating systems:

  • Windows Server 2022

  • Windows Server 2019

Linux Agent: Supported Platforms

The SysTrack Linux Agent supports the following platforms:

Supported and Tested - Full Support for Linux: The following Linux distributions have been fully tested with the SysTrack Linux Agent and are officially supported:

  • Ubuntu

    • 20.04

    • 22.04

    • 24.04

  • Red Hat

    • 8.8

    • 8.10

    • 9.2

    • 9.4

  • Rocky Linux

    • 8.10

    • 9.4 (Support for 9.4 ends November 2024)

Limited Support for Other Linux Distributions: Limited support means that while specific Linux distributions are not fully tested prior to release, we will provide assistance to ensure compatibility with SysTrack. However, any issues found in these versions may take longer to resolve, and there may be limitations compared to fully supported versions. The level of support for any Linux versions is contingent on the current support provided by the manufacturers.

Android Agent: Supported Platforms

The SysTrack Android Agent app requires Android OS 7.0+.

The agent runs on Android devices with the following CPU architecture:

  • armeabi

  • armeabi-v7a

  • arm64-v8a

  • x86

  • x64

Apple iOS Agent: Supported Platforms

The SysTrack iOS Agent app requires iOS 13.2+.

A Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution is recommended for App deployment and continuous data collection.

These MDM solutions are supported:

  • Jamf

  • Microsoft Intune

  • Workspace ONE

Apple macOS Agent: Supported Platforms

The SysTrack macOS Agent supports the following platform minimum versions:

  • macOS versions 10.9 and above

  • Intel-based CPUs

  • Apple Silicon CPUs
