Supported Operating Systems and Platforms

This page covers the supported browsers, operating systems, and other platforms for SysTrack's various products and components. It also links you to the full installation procedures, where applicable.

Browser Compatibility

SysTrack Cloud and related products, including SysTrack Browser Extension, support the latest three versions of the following browsers:

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Google Chrome

  • Mozilla Firefox

The SysTrack Pulse Browser Extension, however, supports only the latest three versions of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Cloud Agent

The SysTrack Cloud Agent supports Windows, Linux, Android, Apple iOS, and Apple macOS. Subsections below list the supported versions for each OS family.

Windows

  • Windows 11

  • Windows 10 (version 1507 or higher)

  • Windows 10 IoT (version 19045 or higher)

  • Windows Server 2025

  • Windows Server 2022

  • Windows Server 2019

  • Windows Server 2016

Linux

  • Ubuntu:

Limited support is available for other Linux distributions. This means we provide assistance for compatibility, but they are not fully tested and may have limitations.

Android

  • For SysTrack 11.6 and newer, requires Android OS 11 or later.

  • For earlier versions of SysTrack, requires Android OS 7.0 or later.

  • Supported CPU architectures:

Apple macOS

  • Supports macOS 10.9 and later.

  • Compatible with Intel-based and Apple Silicon CPUs.

On-Premises Agent

The SysTrack On-Premises Agent supports the following operating systems:

  • Windows 11

  • Windows 10 (version 1507 or higher)

  • Windows 10 IoT (version 19045 or higher)

  • Windows Server 2025

  • Windows Server 2022

  • Windows Server 2019

  • Windows Server 2016

Master System

A master system server running SysTrack must meet specific requirements and prerequisites before installation.

Environment Requirements

  • Architecture: 64-bit only

  • Network: Must have a static IP address or DNS reservation

  • Restrictions:

    • Cannot be a domain controller

    • Cannot have any IIS applications installed

Operating Systems

  • Windows Server 2025

  • Windows Server 2022

  • Windows Server 2019

  • Windows Server 2016

Prerequisites

TIP: The SysTrack installer installs all required components except full versions of SQL Server. Installing prerequisites manually before starting SysTrack installation significantly reduces setup time.

  • .NET Framework:

    • Minimum requirement: .NET Framework 4.8 or higher

    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 is installed with Windows Server 2019

    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 is installed with Windows Server 2016

  • Visual C++: SysTrack requires the latest supported Visual C++ redistributables. See Microsoft’s official documentation for downloads.

  • SQL Server:

    • Supported versions: 2022, 2019, 2017, and 2016.

    • The SysTrack installer can optionally install SQL Server Express 2022 for certain environments.

    • SQL Server Permissions for Upgrades:

      • The user account performing the upgrade must have db_owner permissions for:

        • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Database: ReportServer$SYSMGMT_DB

        • SSRS Temporary Database: ReportServer$SYSMGMT_DBTempDB

      • If permissions are missing, a notification will prompt the user to acquire it before proceeding. The upgrade will not proceed until the account is updated or replaced with one that has db_owner access.

      • Permissions are granted only to the individual user performing the upgrade; group-based permissions are not automatically applied.

During installation, the system may reboot several times but will return to the prerequisites installation step.

SysTrack Administrative Tools support:

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 (x86) Redistributable

Cloud Data Relay

SysTrack Cloud Data Relay supports 64-bit operating systems and requires additional components.
