This video explains how to make automations available in the SysTrack Self-Help app, enabling end users to access approved self-service tools through the Lakeside Tray app.
Video Transcript
The Self-Help app is a way for your users to solve some of their more common technical problems on their own.
In order for the Self-Help app to be visible to your users, the Lakeside Tray app must be enabled on their machines. If you click the caret in the taskbar at the bottom right of your screen, you should see a Lakeside icon. If you don't, look for our video on how to configure the Tray app. When a user right-clicks on that Lakeside icon, they can select Self-Help to open the app window.
There are four features here: IT Announcements, Detected Issues, System Info, and Tools. The Tools page allows SysTrack administrators to surface hand-selected automations to end users. Not every automation is appropriate for end-user access. To enable automations to display on the Tools page, go to Configure and navigate to the Automations and Collection Extensions page. From the Automations tab, select the desired automation and check the Make Available in Self-Help box.
