Let's look at how to enable and configure the Lakeside Tray app, which allows automations, engagements, and surveys to be surfaced to end users. It also allows users to start the self-help tool in SysTrack Configure.
Go to the Roles page and select a current role to edit, or create a new role. Select Tray App.
From the Additional Settings dropdown, you can choose whether to run the Tray app at startup and enable Windows notifications for IT announcements.
Preventing the Tray app from running means automations, except for those set to run silent, engagements, and surveys cannot be used by default.
The Tray app icon appears in the Windows system tray. Additionally, you can display the icon on the desktop or Start menu to give users easier access to the self-help tool.
To run the Tray app but not allow users to access self-help, select the Run at Startup option and deselect the visibility checkboxes. Automations, engagements, and surveys can still be used, but the self-help app cannot be accessed.
The Features section determines what information and pages appear in the self-help app.
Under Thresholds, you can change the expiration time for alerts and prompts, as well as the tool's minimum interval.
When you're done, click the Save Changes button at the top right of the screen.
