Boot Time Alarms
Using this tab, you can configure alarms for a set of boot time metrics. For enabled alarms, an alarm will be triggered if the amount of time taken to complete the boot task is at or above the specified limit.
The following table defines each of the boot time alarms.
Boot Time Alarm | Description |
---|---|
Boot Time (ms) | Monitors the total amount of time (in milliseconds) that elapses between the time the animated Windows logo first appears on the screen and the time you can actually begin using the system. |
Group Policy Time (ms) | Monitors the amount of time (in milliseconds) that it takes to complete group policy processing during system boot. |
Main Path Boot Time (ms) | Monitors the amount of time (in milliseconds) that elapses between the time the animated Windows logo first appears on the screen and the time that the desktop appears. Even though the system is usable at this point, Windows is still working in the background loading low-priority tasks |
Post Boot Time (ms) | Monitors the amount of time (in milliseconds) that elapses between the time that the desktop appears and the time that you can actually begin using the system. |
Profile Process Time (ms) | Monitors the amount of time (in milliseconds) it take to complete user profile processing during system boot. |
