Applications Alarms and Defaults
The Applications category has these alarms. They apply to all applications. The Default column shows the factory values. A role can change them.
Alarm | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
Application Errors | Monitors the application error events that Windows logs when an application fails. | On. |
Application Hangs | Monitors applications that stop responding. | On. |
Blue Screen | Monitors blue screens, when Windows stops because of a critical system error. | On. |
Add an Alarm for One Application
In addition to the alarms that apply to all applications, you can add an alarm for one application under Application Errors or Application Hangs. Blue Screen has no add icon.
In Configure, go to System Configuration > Roles, select the role, and click the Alarms tab.
Under Applications, on the Application Errors or Application Hangs row, click the add icon (tooltip Add new child setting). The Add New Setting dialog opens.
In Name, enter the file name of the application, for example
notepad.exe.Click Create. The application shows as a new row under Application Errors or Application Hangs.
Select or clear the check box of the new row. The new row has its own on or off setting, so the alarm is on or off for that application only.
Click Save Changes at the top right of the Roles page.
