New

Process Tree Collection

The agent now collects process tree data on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems and stores it in the new SAPROCESSTREE table. Each row represents a top-level process and its combined resource usage, including all of its child processes. A companion table, SAPROCESSTREEMEMBER, records each process in a tree, along with its parent process ID and the times it joined and left the tree. Process tree collection runs alongside SAAPP collection to limit additional load on the agent. This data is not yet visualized in SysTrack. Support for viewing it is planned for a future release.

Device Hardware Serial Number Reporting

The agent now reads the hardware serial number of the device on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems at startup and reports it each time it connects. Existing devices receive their serial number on their next connection. If the serial number changes, for example after a motherboard replacement or re-image, the stored value updates to match. Placeholder values reported by some firmware and VMs are ignored. Devices that connect through a proxy hub don't report a serial number.

VPN Tunnel Interface Collection on macOS

On macOS, the agent now collects VPN tunnel interfaces as part of network adapter inventory, letting you see whether a device is connecting over VPN. Each tunnel gets its own entry with a distinct description along with network performance and connection history data. Network utilization is not available for tunnel interfaces.

Changed

Device Serial Number In SysTrack API

The SysTrack API endpoints now return the serial number the agent reports at connection, falling back to the inventory serial when no connect-time value exists, for example for older agents, devices behind a proxy hub, or new devices before the value reaches the master. Previously these fields always returned only the inventory serial. For example, see Get all systems and Get systems used by a specified user.

Fixed

  • The Create/Edit Survey Schedule dialog in Survey Scheduler, and the Add/Edit Webhook dialog in Data Egress Configure Export, now show the correct value in combobox fields when reopened.

  • Network adapter inventory on Windows no longer silently drops the row for an adapter when two adapters on the same machine share a MAC address.

  • Offline Resolve now works more reliably during service interruptions and restarts.

  • The Survey Scheduler tab no longer fails to load when the application inventory contains an application name with a double quote character. (17972)

  • In SRE > Problem Scope > Notify Users, the Moveworks (Beta) option no longer appears for tenants that don't have Moveworks enabled.
