A typical Systems Management Agent upgrade (FORCE=0; default) does not require you to set the following properties in the command line argument:

  • MASTERNAME

  • CACHEDMODE

  • POOLNAME

  • POOLDB

  • POOLDB_LOGFOLDER

  • POOLDB_WRITEFOLDER

  • RUNONPARENT

  • PROXYCONNECTIONHUB

  • AUTODETECTPROXY

  • AUTOCONFIGSCRIPT

  • HTTPSPROXY

For Advanced Pooled System upgrades,you are not required to set the following properties in the command line argument:

  • POOLDB

  • POOLDB_LOGFOLDER

  • POOLDB_WRITEFOLDER

  • RUNONPARENT

For Advanced Pooled User upgrades, you are not required to set the following property in the command line argument:

  • POOLNAME

For Advanced Cached Mode upgrades, you are not require to set the following properties in the command line argument:

  • CACHEDMODE

  • RUNONPARENT

For upgrades with a configuration name,  you are not required to set the following property in the command line argument:

  • CONFIGNAME

Change Property Values

For a current product install, to change the product’s property values, assign the value FORCE=1 to each of the following properties. If not, the default value is assigned.

  • CACHEDMODE

  • POOLNAME

  • POOLDB

  • POOLDB_LOGFOLDER

  • POOLDB_WRITEFOLDER

  • RUNONPARENT

  • CONFIGNAME

  • PROXYCONNECTIONHUB

  • AUTODETECTPROXY

  • AUTOCONFIGSCRIPT

  • HTTPSPROXY

After setting FORCE=1, the upgrade process uses the values you assigned.
