App Vision makes it simple to compare resource utilization across versions. To start, type the name of the application into the Focus section. You can search by application or by package.

By toggling the filter options, you'll see overall resource usage for all versions combined, with the data broken down by subversion. If you select a version, you may need to click the circular refresh button to populate the data.

Choose the resource you want to analyze—such as CPU, memory, or network—for each version. App Vision provides detailed metrics including CPU utilization, memory usage, weighted averages, minimums, maximums, and overall averages. This allows you to compare versions. For example, you can see whether version 1.5 uses significantly more CPU or memory than version 1.6 in your environment.

You can also see which systems still have older versions installed, which is helpful when planning upgrades.

If you want to analyze the data further, App Vision lets you export the results. Click the Export Grid button to generate an XML file, which you can open in Excel for additional manipulation or reporting.

This flexibility makes App Vision a powerful tool for understanding application performance and guiding upgrade decisions.
