Configure and use the “Agent and Supervisor Not Connected to Master” sensor to receive notifications when a SysTrack agent goes offline.

Video Transcript

You can receive a notification when a Assist Track agent is offline. Use the agent and supervisor not connected to master sensor to receive a notification. This sensor is only found on the Sensor Notifications page in Configure, and you cannot use it with other sensors. This sensor is intended for a group of critical devices that are expected to always be online. For example, you may set this to a group of servers for your call center team.

You should not leave the group for this notification as All Systems because recipients would receive email notifications every time a system was powered off.

This sensor is looking for whether the websocket connection between the agent and master has been closed for at least 10 minutes. It is also looking for whether any sensor data has been received in the last 10 minutes. The data contains all results, showing which sensors have gone off and which have not. If there is no sensor data received, this indicates a problem with the agent and supervisor service. If there is no websocket connection and no sensor data for 10 minutes, it is likely that the agent is disconnected.

To create this sensor notification from the Configure Notifications page, click the Add button, create the name and description, then open the Cis Trek category and select Agent and Supervisor Not Connected to a Master. Click Add. If you had first added another sensor, you will have to remove it before adding this one. This sensor can only be used by itself. Choose your recipients and click the Save Notification button.
