11.4 Agent Release Notes

This agent release includes new features, bug fixes, and enhancements to the product.

Important

• Health Impact for session latency now takes into account TCP sessions for RDP (SAREMOTEFX.CUR_TCP_RTT). Systems using TCP for RDP will not have been recording health impact when session latency was above threshold. Once you update the agent this will be included.

• Support for version 10.7 agents was discontinued on May 12, 2025.

• Support for version 10.6 agents was discontinued on March 24, 2025.

• Support for On-Premises 10.5 versions was discontinued on March 20, 2025.

• Support for version 10.5 agents was discontinued on January 21, 2025.

New

Natural Language Query (NLQ) Enhancements

• Real-time querying of Windows Event Log data is now supported via Agent Queries. This provides on-demand access to all available event logs on the endpoint for faster troubleshooting and investigations.

• Real-time querying of Windows Registry data is now supported via Agent Queries. This enabled ad hoc access to registry keys and values on the endpoint to support diagnostics and configuration checks.

• When you run a collection extension, it does not overwrite existing data. (Case 630)

• You can view detailed information from intelconnect.exe when you double-click on it in Visualizer. (Case 10372)

• The agent does not fail to get the users' data from the master and SAUSERACTIVEDIR. (Case 9780)

• Values for CapacitySystem and for SYNUMPROC are correct. (Case 10301)

• DYNI-data is retained when Collection Extension script are updated. (Case 11211)

• The latest application version shows in AppVision. (Case 11272)

• Values in the SACHANGES table columns show valid table names, column names, and change class names. (Case 11508)

• LASTREFRESHTIME parameter captures the previous 24 hour data when the first view process is done on MAC systems. (Case 11645)

• Rosetta installation is not a prerequisite to install an agent on a Mac. (Case 11497)

• Surveys can be saved when no radio button value is selected. (Case 11823)

• Agent retries daily condense in 10 minute increments with a max of 1 hour until it succeeds. (Case 12076/11331)

• The agent now allows collection extension of type Collect being run as User. (Case 11429)

• Mac Agent will now be able to read proxy configuration script and connect appropriately and will be able to connect to the Master system. (Case 11159)

• Agent no longer duplicates Health Daily Records if a crash occurs after starting views (Case 10808)

• Ports data now respects the ping thread need for data (Case 10672)

• Added increasing retry logic if the agent is unable to use the Kernel Logger. This will avoid high CPU usage from constantly repeated attempts. (Case 12276)

• Fixed an issue where if SACONS has duplicate records then we use a lot of resources on boot up. The agent will now remove duplicate records on startup. (Case 12325)

• Resolved issue where SAUSERINFO LAST_LOGON value was not being updated on the master due to the change not being condense from the child system. (Case 12250)

• Fix to model name failing to collect on mac devices with a serial number length of 10 digits. (Case 12682)

• Fixed an issue where a WMI outage could cause us to record incorrect data in SADIN. (Case 11688)

• User context application closes if the agent isn't to reconnect on agent restart (Case 10103)

• Non-Windows machines will no longer run inventory and condense at the same time, matching Windows behavior (Case 11144)

• Resolves issue where we can get rows for mapped drives in Resolve->Hardware. (Case 11168)

• Resolved an issue where, under certain conditions, the agent could be prevented from sending condense files to the master system due to an ERROR_SHARING_VIOLATION. This error persisted until the agent was restarted. (Case 12648)

• Adobe InDesign data is available in Resolve > Software > Software Usage. (Case 11038)

Changed

• CPU Queue collection added for macOS. Updated Linux to align with Windows and macOS.

• The Active Directory collection option for User Collection has been added to the Privacy section in Roles. Existing options have been renamed for clarity.

• Web Apps defined in Configure are populated to the agent database in SAWEBAPPS.
