10.5 Release Notes: On-Premises
This on-premises release includes various new features and bug fixes.
New
Proactive Alerting

IT Engineers can configure proactive email alerts to be sent out automatically whenever one or more selected SysTrack sensors are triggered on a significant number of devices, indicating a widespread problem that demands rapid response.

Alerting is based on a configurable threshold for each monitored sensor, and administrators can choose between specifying a percentage of devices triggering the sensor or a set number of devices with the sensor triggered.

The chosen relevant parties are immediately notified when issues first emerge, mitigating potential impact.

Active issues will not trigger repeated notifications. When a problem is fixed, the corresponding issue can be set to Resolved, allowing it to be reactivated if the same problem happens again.
Enhancements to Executive Insights
The Executive Insights dashboard has been transitioned to an app that provides longer-term data access, a cleaner UI, and in-app Health Score breakdown. This improved summary of estate-wide DEX helps organizations effectively allocate resources to reduce productivity impact for maximum ROI. The Group Trending graph has been removed while being redesigned for a future release.
Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor Integration
SysTrack can be configured to collect data for Nutanix AHV implementations like that collected for VMware. This new integration enables improved performance management and VDI right-sizing for Nutanix environments. The data is available in Resolve’s black box and Visualizer. Both host metrics and virtual machine counters from Nutanix Guest Tools are provided.
Improved SQL Survey Control
The Edit Survey Schedule dialog in SysTrack Configure has been enhanced to allow you to specify how frequently a triggered SQL survey should be sent out, as well as the percentage of users who will be surveyed.
Updated Legal Documents
Miscellaneous SysTrack statements and agreements have been revised and moved from the Cloud landing page to the Lakeside Software website. These include the Master SAAS agreement, Service Level Objectives, Fair Use Policy, and Privacy Statement.
Data API Improvements
As part of an ongoing initiative, more SysTrack data can be accessed through Data API. This will give Data Analysts parity in their data availability when migrating from on-premises to SysTrack CE.
UX Improvements
Sensor Perspective in Resolve’s Black Box
For improved convenience, IT technicians will now be able to see detailed sensor data in Black Box, making it easier understand which issues are affecting individual machines and eliminating the need to switch to the Event Correlation page.
Exposing Factory Roles in Configure
The SysTrack Configure > Roles page has been enhanced with the addition of a new Show Factory Roles checkbox. This allows SysTrack administrators to view all roles, both factory and user-created, to better understand their contents and how they affect the environment. Factory roles are labeled and can be copied but not modified.
Improved Consistency and Wording
Elements of the SysTrack user interface have been made more consistent. Certain UI terms have been clarified—for example, Num has been replaced by Number.
Improvements to Self-Help App

To boost user confidence, the icons, logos, and title/subtitle text for self-help can now be customized to match an organization’s identity and branding.

For increased visibility and adoption, self-help can be configured to launch from a desktop icon or the Start menu.

IT administrators can now reduce unnecessary tickets by having self-help hide the Detected Issues tab or the Tools tab based on a role in Configure.

The SysTrack self-help application will no longer display co-workers affected and health score.
Web Apps Enhancements

Data for individual declared web apps is now graphed over time, including click-to-render, round-trip time, processing time, errors, and web app usage.

Certain Resolve > Web Apps columns, tooltips, and graph labels have been renamed for clarity, and the tab-consolidating Time at URL column has been removed from Resolve > Web Performance.
AppVision Improvements

To help eliminate any confusion, a default Time Window of 30 days for AppVision faults data has been instituted, and the number of application faults is no longer displayed at the bottom of the App Fault Details pane.

An export function has been added to AppVision’s pop-ups, making the data easier to work with. Drilldown to Resolve is now provided from the Computer FQDN column, and additional information is available for items in the Faults column.
Refreshed Launch Page
Tactical improvements have been made to the design of the SysTrack launch page, streamlining it for a more satisfying user experience. Users can now easily return to the launch page by clicking the Lakeside logo.
Added Support for Azure Virtual Desktop 2020
SysTrack’s integration with Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) has been updated to integrate with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) version 2.
Exporting Report Center Excel Data in .xlsx Format
Prior to SysTrack 10.3, tables exported from Report Center used .xls format with a 65536-row limit. Exporting in .xlsx format will now allow for over 1 million rows.
