iOS SysTrack Enterprise Deployment

This section documents best practices for wide scale enterprise deployment of the SysTrack app to iOS devices through EMM/MDM software. Both Work profiles and fully managed devices are supported by the SysTrack app. The SysTrack app can be obtained through the Apple App Store with your MDM software.

Certification

For on-premises deployments, ensure the iOS endpoint devices have the SysTrack Server SSL certificate distributed through your MDM software. The SysTrack app requires SSL authentication to the SysTrack Server’s domain. Cloud deployments do not require SSL certificates. See Setting up an SSL Certificate for more information.

VPN Configuration

If a VPN is required to connect to the SysTrack Server, ensure the MDM software has a VPN configured for iOS endpoint devices. Cloud installations do not require VPN connections.

Permissions

Ensure proper permissions are granted through the MDM software for apps being deployed to iOS devices.

Configuration Parameters

The SysTrack app allows for auto configuration of the following parameters,these parameters can be specified through your EMM/MDM software and will be read by the SysTrack app on startup:

• master – SysTrack Server FQDN or Cloud URL (required)

• user – Primary user account (optional)

• device – Unique device ID (optional)

• tenantID – Cloud Tenant ID (required for Cloud)

• serialNumber – Serial number of the device (required)
