Reinstall Information

Use the property REINSTALL=ALL to perform a reinstall, which adds missing files, replaces old files, registry entries and other tasks.

Installation Type Properties to Set Notes

Set this property and optional properties or the default value is used.

IMPORTANT: Failure to add REINSTALL=ALL to the command line during a reinstall results in a failed installation. 

Example:

MSI (s) (BC:00) [07:43:22:056]: Product: Systems Management Agent -- The same version of this product is already installed.  To perform a reinstall (repair) will require the property REINSTALL="ALL" assigned in the command line.  This program will now exit.
