Software Asset Optimization Installation Instructions

Minimum Version

This DEX Pack requires SysTrack version 10.1 or higher.

Note

It may take up to 24 hours for data to appear after this DEX Pack is installed.

Import Kit

To use this DEX Pack, the corresponding Kit must be imported to SysTrack.

Once you have imported the DEX Pack from the Kits page, you can assign the role.

If you view the DEX Pack in the Customer Gateway, you can import it into SysTrack by doing the following:

  1. Download the DEX Pack ZIP file from the DEX Pack page.

  2. Go to SysTrack and open Kits.

  3. Go to Local and click Select Kit File.

  4. Select the DEX Pack ZIP File.

Software Asset Optimization Role

You are required to assign the SF_Software Asset Optimization Role to the relevant Configurations.

  1. Go to Configure > Configurations

  2. Click the padlock icon in the upper-right to enable editing.

  3. Use the drop-down at the top to select a relevant Configuration, or create a new Configuration.

  4. Assign SF_Software Asset Optimization Role to the Configuration by dragging it from Available Roles to Assigned Roles.

  5. Click Save Changes.

NOTE: Repeat the process for other relevant Configurations.
