SysTrack Deploy configuration is required for viewing vScape virtual machine data.
Best Practices
It is best to configure the VMware synchronization on the same SysTrack Master that is used for connecting vScape (usually the top SysTrack Master).
If VMware synchronization is configured at a lower level SysTrack Master and vScape is connected to a higher level SysTrack Master, you can expect some Virtual Machine data to be delayed in the vScape display. For example, a newly added virtual machine may not display for a full 24 hours. vScape may display a warning that a virtual machine was detected but its VMware parent container is unknown. This is due to the 24 hour bulk uplink cycle on the SysTrack Masters. Connecting vScape to the same level SysTrack Master that is configured for VMware synchronization avoids this limitation.
Complete the Required SysTrack Deploy Configuration
Open the Deployment menu and select Deployment Credentials and Methods from the list of options.

Using the resulting Manage Deployment Credentials window:
Select the Virtual Machine Managers tab.
Click the Add button.

Using the resulting Administrative Credentials dialog box:
Select the VMware Virtual Center System Name Credential Type.
Enter the VMware Virtual Center System Name.
Enter the User ID and Password of an account that has access to the entered VMware Virtual Center Name. Use the following User ID format: <Domain>\<User ID>.
Click OK.

The credential is added to the table. As required for the Master System to sync with VMware View server, the Enabled box is checked by default.
Click Test to perform an authentication test.

You should see the following Successful Test message. If you do not, check the accuracy of the Administrative Credentials you entered.
