Sensor Trends Page

Prev Next

This video looks at using the Sensor Trends page to identify trends by looking at the number of systems that have sensors activated or deactivated within a certain time period.

Video Transcript

The Sensor Trends page in Prevent displays the number of systems that have sensors activated or deactivated within a certain time period. You can adjust this to the timeframe you are interested in. The default is a one day period.

The red bar shows how many systems have that sensor activated as of the date in the To field, but did not have it activated on the date in the From field. In other words, the sensor wasn’t triggered as of a day ago, but now it is. The green bar shows how many systems had that sensor active as of the date in the From field, but do not have it active on the date in the To field.

If there is more red than green, this tells you the sensor is identifying a relatively new issue, and might warrant some further investigation. Was a new software package installed? Was there a patch applied? Is a location experiencing a latency issue?
