Server Datasets

Prev Next

Access to server datasets is dependent on your security permissions as set by your System Administrator in SysTrack Deploy. A dataset will not be displayed under the Observations menu for the following reasons:

  • You do not have security permissions to view a particular dataset

  • No data is available for a particular dataset

The table below describes each available Server  dataset. Click the links for more detailed information about a dataset.

Dataset

Description

Application Connections

The Application Connections dataset provides information about application connections in relation to inbound and outbound server connections. For this dataset to be populated with data the TCP Connections view needs to be enabled in SysTrack Deploy for each of your server configurations.

Application Faults

Provides an assessment of how problems with applications may impact the servers in the community being analyzed.

Applications

Provides insight into the behavior and use of applications,  which are the executable components of Software Packages.

Citrix Published App Children

Focuses on child applications. A child application is one that is launched from a session that was established either as a published desktop or by another published application. A good example of this is an email client as the published application. As a user opens an email attachment with a word processing application, the word processing application is considered the published application.  This dataset can help Citrix administrators determine any applications with which users interact, but which may not have been explicitly published in the Citrix environment.

Citrix Published Applications

Enumerates the applications and desktops that have been published in your Citrix XenApp environment. Perspectives include Basic, Daily Usage, and Child Applications.

Citrix License Pools

Provides information about Citrix License Pools within the environment.

Database Servers

Provides information about  SQL Server host servers within the environment.

Features and Roles

Provides information about the features and roles configured on servers

Hardware

Provides asset and configuration data that describes the fundamentals of the computing environment delivered to the user.

Sessions

Provides information about published application sessions within the environment. Perspectives include Basic, and Session Summary.

Server Performance

Provides insight into how servers are used and how much of their available compute resources are effectively used in delivering applications to users.

Software Packages

Provides insight into the behavior and use of software packages which are collections of applications. In contrast to Applications, software packages are generally purchasable and installable bundles that consume resources when the contained applications are accessed.

Web Servers

Provides information about the web server host systems within the environment. Only available in the Basic perspective. For the Web Services column to be populated with data, the IIS App Summary view needs to be enabled in SysTrack Deploy for each of your server configurations.
