This video demonstrates how to view and analyze endpoint-to-gateway latency across subnets in SysTrack using the Application Latency observation and drill-down capabilities.
Video Transcript
It is possible to report on average gateway latency from end-user or server endpoints across the various subnets on the estate. This data is available natively in SysTrack's standard visualizers.
From the Visualizer page, select Desktop or Server accordingly. Under Observations on the left-side menu, select Application Latency. Change the perspective to show Latency to Default Gateway on the table that appears underneath the perspective dropdown. The Connection column shows the subnet where the endpoint resides, followed by the IP address of its default gateway. The additional columns, Subnet System and Latency Average, can reveal further information, indicated by the light blue dot next to the column title. Double-click on the values underneath to show the name of the endpoints on that subnet, along with each endpoint's respective latency to the default gateway.
It is possible that the same gateway or subnet could appear twice. This can occur for home workers where a subnet like 192.168.0.0 is very common across most households. This latency data can be helpful to home workers that need to prove that they have a problem to business locations. It is possible to filter using the options to the right and directly above the table.
