Intro to SysTrack Dashboards

SysTrack Visualizer and other SysTrack products provide an excellent way to view specific pre-formatted slices of SysTrack data. However, there are times when your reporting needs diverge from the default data views. Perhaps you want to focus more on applications or KPIs, and you want this information to be presented in a particular format.

SysTrack Dashboard provides a way to display customized views of SysTrack data in a variety of formats, including grids, several types of charts, gauges, and other visualizations. The user can interact with the dashboard by providing input on selections, modifying filter criteria, and customizing information displayed in charts.

Dashboards are viewed using the SysTrack Dashboard Browser. The dashboards are sorted alphabetically, but you can search on any part of the dashboard title or predefined tags, categories, and personas. The Dashboard Browser will automatically display the five most commonly used tags at the top. You can click any of them to apply the filter, or you can select other tags using the filter menu. To filter by category or persona, select an item under the respective lists.

You can include dashboards from your personal list of favorites by clicking on the star to the left of the dashboard name. The preview icon to the right of the row will display a thumbnail of the dashboard. Selecting the dashboard name will open that dashboard. To return to the browser, click the View Browser link in the upper right.

Users can resize dashboard parts or even hide them by clicking the X at the top right of the pane.  To bring them back, click the gear icon for the settings menu and hit the Reset button to return it to the default configuration.

Some users may see a wrench icon on the settings menu, which indicates that that user has access to the Dashboard Builder tool, which allows additional customization as well as creation of custom dashboard content.
