# Import Local Kits

The Local section of Kits provides a way to import a saved Kit that is accessible from your local drive. This option is useful for systems without internet access, for Kits and DEX packs downloaded from the [DEX and Kit Downloads](/documentation/docs/dex-packs-dex-and-kit-downloads) page, or for Kits received through email from a Lakeside Software contact.

## Import Steps

1. In SysTrack, open **Kits**.
2. In the **Local** section, click **Select Kit File**.

3. Select the local package file to import. Click **Open**.
4. An **Import Status** dialog appears.
5. When the import is complete, click **Close**.

The imported kit shows in the **Import History** grid, which lists both Online and Local imports.

Additional files that are included in this package show a **Download** link in the **Setup Instructions** column.
