# Expose Factory Roles in Configure

Enable visibility of factory roles and copy them to create editable custom roles.

## Video Transcript

Navigate to the Configure tool and select the Roles page from the System Configuration menu on the left‑side navigation. Notice that the only roles that appear for selection in the dropdown menu are custom roles created by your organization. The Show Factory Roles checkbox is deselected by default.

Clicking the Show Factory Roles checkbox will make the out‑of‑the‑box roles visible in the dropdown menu, and users will be able to view the settings in the grid below. Factory roles are not editable, but they can be copied to create an editable custom role.
