# Run an Automation from Assist

Run automations in Assist by selecting a system, choosing an approved automation, reviewing its description, and deciding whether to run it silently or with user notification.

## Video Transcript

This video describes how to run an automation on a particular system using Assist.

1. From the Assist homepage, search for the relevant system.
2. Open Tools.
3. Click on Run Automations.
4. Choose the relevant automation from a list of approved automations, and then verify in the description that it is correct.
5. Determine if you want to run the action silently in the background, notify the user that you are running it, or prompt the user.
6. To begin the action, click the Run button.
