# Configure Action Governance Permissions

Set the Action Governance permissions of a group to control who can create, import, export, approve, enable, disable, and delete actions. You set them on the **App Features** tab in **Manage Group Features**.

## Prerequisites

- Access to **Manage Group Features** in the **Settings** menu.

## Set the Permissions of a Group

1. Go to **Settings** > **Manage Group Features**.

2. On **Grant Feature Sets to Groups**, find the group and click **View/Edit Effective Content** for that group.

3. Select the **App Features** tab.

4. Scroll down to the **Configure** section, and select or clear the Action Governance permissions.

The **Configure** section of the **App Features** tab has these permissions for actions:

- **Action Builder**: shows the **Create Action** button and lets the group edit actions in SysTrack Cloud. Default: off.
- **Action Governance - Access (Read Only)**: shows the **Action Governance** tab. You can view actions, but you cannot import, export, approve, enable, disable, or delete them.
- **Action Governance - Import/Export**: allows only manual import and export of actions. Default: on.
- **Action Governance - Management**: allows you to approve, enable, disable, and delete actions. It also allows the management of publisher keys in [Publisher Key Management](/documentation/docs/publisher-key-management). Default: on.

To check the result, ask a user of the group to go to **Configure** > **Tools** > **Automations and Collection Extensions** > **Action Governance**. With **Action Builder**, the user sees **Create Action** on the **Actions** tab. With **Action Governance - Management**, the user can approve actions on the **Pending Approval** tab.

## Action Approval Control

Action Approval Control stops a user from approving an action that the same user imported or created. Someone else needs to approve it, so that more than one person controls the process.

Action Approval Control is available in SysTrack Cloud. It is on by default for new tenants. In SysTrack On-Premises, the user who imports an action can approve it.

You cannot turn off Action Approval Control yourself. To have it turned off, contact your account representative. Give your tenant ID and tenant name, and ask for the "Action Approval setting to be disabled." After the support team checks the information, they turn the setting off.
