# Android Agent Overview

The SysTrack Android Agent includes endpoint data collection for all Android devices. The Android Agent supports integration. For a full list of supported features, see the SysTrack Supported Features document.

## **About the Agent**

The SysTrack Android agent is an endpoint-only agent. The Agent runs as a background service. Collected data is stored in an SQLite database.

For the Master Agent connection:

- The on-premises Agent reports to a Windows Master Agent.
- The Cloud Edition Agent reports to a Cloud Tenant Master Agent.

## **Supported Platforms**

Ensure that you meet the requirements outlined in [Supported Operating Systems and Platforms](/documentation/docs/supported-operating-systems-and-platforms).

## **Required Permissions**

| Permission | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Storage | Required for collection of statistics for any external storage. |
| App Usage | Required for collection of running apps and focus times (this is a special access permission and must be enabled manually). |
| Location | Required for collection of WiFi SSID. |
| Phone | Required for the collection of Network statistics. |
